Committees

As part of LAACHA’s New Direction, to provide structure, help clarify and communicate LAACHA’s new vision, as well as to provide members with opportunities to engage and provide input, LAACHA is forming three additional committees: Capacity & Resources Development Committee, Innovation Committee and Outcomes & Evaluation.

Capacity & Resources Development  Committee

Purpose:

 To develop a structure to enable the development of membership  capacities.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess capacity development strengths and needs
  • Identify overall priorities
  • Identify and/or develop tools to support capacity development efforts
  • Identify educational, training and technical assistance opportunities
  • Develop and action plan with short, mid and long-term recommendations.

Innovation Committee 

Purpose:

To identify, support and promote emerging community informed processes and practices that positively impact older adult health and wellbeing by improving access, quality of care, individual and population health, and reducing costs.

 Responsibilities:

  • Assess community needs
  • Identify innovative community informed solutions
  • Identify and develop strategies to support and promote innovative solutions
  • Develop and action plan with short, mid and long-term recommendations.

Outcomes & Evaluation Committee 

Purpose:

To help reduce disparities and improve outcomes for diverse older adults through outcome identification, tracking and reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify potential areas for improvement
  • Develop valid, reliable outcome measures
  • Identify strategies/performance measures to help reduce disparities
  • Develop an action plan with short, mid and long-term recommendations.
